A work by the British artist Banksy on the refugee crisis, was auctioned on Tuesday for 2.4 million euros, thus exceeding all estimates. The auction house Sotheby’s announced the sale price of the triptych with the title of “Mediterranean Sea View 2017” (“Mediterranean sea view 2017”) in the evening in London. Banksy had previously announced that the proceeds will go to a Palestinian hospital in Bethlehem donations.
