The Federal government has expressed relief at the acquittal of human rights activist Peter Steudtner in a process in Turkey. Government spokesman Steffen Seibert welcomed on Monday in Berlin that the allegations against the Berlin case have been left. “With concern,” have you taken note, however, that a large number of co-defendants Steudtners had been sentenced to lengthy prison sentences.
In the process against the “Istanbul 10” known human rights activists were killed on Friday, the judgments: During Steudtner and five co-accused of terrorism-were spoken, the charges were met with several Turkish Amnesty activists in prison.
