An 82-year-old man has lost his life when he was crushed by a cow that was thrown after being hit by a train. The retiree, named Shivdayal Sharma, was urinating near the railway tracks during a walk in the Alwar region of India.
According to witnesses of events that have shocked the country, the cow was in a poorly secured area through which the tracks could be accessed, when it was run over by the express train. The animal was shot several meters until it fell on Sharma, who died instantly.
According to the newspaper ‘India Today’, the deceased had been an electrician throughout his life, working precisely at the national railway company, until he retired 23 years ago.
The railway company has announced that it will take measures to clear the vegetation and try to condition the area to keep the cows away from the transit area of ??the trains.
