Mediaset España has signed an agreement with Telefónica Audiovisual Digital, owner of the broadcast rights for the Formula 1 World Championship, for the open broadcast on Telecinco of the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix that will take place at the Circuit de Montmeló in Barcelona this weekend on June 3 and 4, with the participation of the Spanish pilots Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sáinz.

“Thanks to this alliance, the company reinforces the coverage and diffusion of this sport in Spain”, in a season in which it is achieving great repercussion and interest caused by the good results of the Spanish pilots.

The broadcast will include the qualifying day that will be held on Saturday June 3 and the race on Sunday June 4, which will be offered by Telecinco.

It will be the third consecutive year that Mediaset España offers its viewers this top-level sporting event, which will be the eighth event of the season and one of the most anticipated and exciting for the fans.

After the Formula 1 World Cup races held so far in the Grand Prix of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia, Fernando Alonso occupies third place in the standings and Carlos Sáinz fifth.

The Spaniard was third in the three races while the man from Madrid was fourth, sixth and twelfth in each of them, weighed down in the latter by the five-second penalty imposed by the FIA ​​after colliding with his compatriot in the third start.
