A 13-year-old girl who was missing has been located locked in a shed in the garden of a North Carolina house, authorities reported Monday.

Dallas police and FBI investigators say a 34-year-old man the little girl was talking to on social media waited for her outside her home and put her in his vehicle.

Video cameras near the girl’s home filmed a vehicle registered to an address in Davidson County, and a special agent with the Texas FBI’s Violent Crimes Group contacted the sheriff’s office Friday. “Within 10 minutes our guys had their eyes on that residence,” said investigator Stephanie Murphy. “Everything moved pretty fast after that,” she added.

Investigators found the vehicle and stopped the owner as he was leaving the home. There they realized that the girl was locked in an outbuilding on the property in Lexington, where they later found her. They took her for her medical evaluation and eventually returned her to Texas, where she lived, authorities said.

The man, identified as Jorge Ivan Santos Camacho, went to court and was accused of kidnapping, criminal restraint, human trafficking and sexual offense, among other charges. He has been set on $1.25 million bail.
