Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – In the trial for a life-threatening knife attack in front of a discotheque, the verdict is expected this Wednesday before the Frankfurt Regional Court. The accused is a 21-year-old who had already been sentenced to six years and three months in prison in a first trial for the alleged crime on New Year’s Eve 2019/20. However, the Federal Court of Justice overturned the decision in the revision, so that the second trial of the alleged attempted murder became necessary. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the accused should now be sentenced to six years in prison.
The argument in front of the Frankfurt discotheque between the accused and one of the bouncers is said to have occurred after the accused had apparently not been admitted. In the course of the argument, he is said to have injured two other men.
