Eigeltingen (dpa/lsw) – After the disappearance of a 21-year-old from Eigeltingen (Constance district), the police can no longer rule out a crime. A special commission arrested a 42-year-old acquaintance of the missing person as a suspect, officials said on Thursday. He was brought before a judge after his arrest on Saturday and is now in custody. Since the disappearance on February 19, many indications have been received that have resulted in new investigation approaches.

As part of the search, the officers found the car used by the missing person in a parking lot in Radolfzell. From Sunday to Wednesday, various searches took place in Eigeltingen and Radolfzell, in which dogs were also used. The police are now looking for witnesses who have seen the young woman or who can give general information about the disappearance and is asking the population for help in the search.
