Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – Further measures to protect against infection with the corona virus will also end in Hesse from March. From Wednesday onwards, the mandatory masks and tests for employees and residents in health and care facilities will no longer apply nationwide. However, anyone who wants to visit patients or residents and make doctor’s appointments must continue to wear a mask.

Most recently, the mask requirement on long-distance trains and long-distance buses was prematurely suspended at the beginning of February. The Hessians no longer have to wear a mask to protect against infection with the corona virus on public buses and trains in local transport. The mask requirement on airplanes has been passé since autumn. The obligation to isolate people infected with the corona virus has already ended.

The last nationwide corona regulations are to expire on April 7th. This also applies to the mask requirement for visits to practices, clinics and homes.
