üpfpflingen (dpa/lsw) – More than eight months after the disappearance of an 18-year-old from üpfpflingen, the young man’s skeleton was probably found. A hunter found a skeletonized human skull in a forest near üpfpflingen, the police in Ulm said on Thursday. The police then searched the area around the site with a cadaver dog on Wednesday and found a skeleton and clothing. Because of the clothing, the investigators assume that the dead person is the missing person – but a DNA comparison is still pending.
According to the police, there is no evidence of a crime. The 18-year-old suddenly disappeared without a trace in early June. The police searched for him with the Ulm rescue dog squadron, a cadaver dog and a police helicopter. A public search was also unsuccessful. What happened then was still unclear. The public manhunt at the time said there was a suspicion that something could have happened to the young man and that he might be in a helpless situation.
