Magdeburg/Rome (dpa/sa) – At the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. On Thursday, the Ministry of the Interior of Saxony-Anhalt ordered mourning flags to be displayed on the state’s official buildings. A ministry spokeswoman said on Tuesday. The German, who died on New Year’s Eve, is laid out in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome until Wednesday to say goodbye, before the big funeral service in St. Peter’s Square is due on Thursday.
