Offenbach/Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – It was exceptionally warm in Saxony-Anhalt in 2022. This was announced by the German Weather Service (DWD) on Friday based on preliminary data. For Saxony-Anhalt, the weather service also recorded the sunniest March and the second sunniest summer, in which 40.0 degrees Celsius were measured for the first time on July 20 in Huy-Pabsdorf (Harz district). “The second decade of December showed its icy side,” and the turn of the year was extremely mild.
