Großostheim (dpa / lby) – The fire brigade in the Aschaffenburg district brought home two escaped animals: First a cat in the tree and then a free-roaming Nandu. The ostrich-like and flightless bird broke out of its enclosure in Großostheim on Thursday, the fire department said. Because the bird can travel up to 60 kilometers per hour, the emergency services caught it using a driver chain.
Shortly before that, the helpers freed a cat from a 20 meter high tree. With a small lifting platform, Charlie came back to the ground and thus to his worried owners.
