Friedrichsbrunn (dpa/sa) – The fire in a holiday resort near Friedrichsbrunn in the Harz district on Christmas Eve is probably due to a technical defect. “According to initial findings,” this is the most likely reason, said a police spokesman on Thursday. But the investigations were still ongoing.
The fire broke out on the morning of December 24th. 46 people were brought to safety – nobody was injured. More than a hundred firefighters were deployed. The damage was estimated at four million euros.
