Regensburg (dpa/lby) – A wrong-way driver caused an accident on Tuesday on the A93 near Regensburg, injuring five people. According to the police, the 49-year-old driver drove in the afternoon at the Regensburg-Süd junction instead of heading in the direction of Weiden in the opposite direction to Holledau. About 500 meters further, he drove into an oncoming car in which a family of four was sitting. You and the wrong-way driver were taken to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries. Both lanes in the direction of Weiden were closed until the scene of the accident was cleared at around 3:45 p.m.
