Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Next year, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomeranian Festival will receive a six-digit sum from the federal government to finance its classic techno festival “detect”. Up to 125,000 euros are available from the “tuned – network for contemporary classics” program of the Federal Cultural Foundation for the three-day festival at Bröllin Castle (Vorpommern-Greifswald district), as the festival announced on Wednesday in Schwerin. With the program, the foundation promotes new approaches to the presentation of classical music and thus alternatives to conventional concert operations. The three-day “detect” festival has been held at the Festspiele MV since 2019. It was created on the initiative of the Junge Norddeutsche Philharmonie and brings together classical and electronic music and musicians.
