Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The weekend in Saxony-Anhalt remains frosty. “It’s still cold in winter,” said a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD). Locally there are flat fog fields on Friday. It stays rain free. The temperatures are a maximum of minus two to minus five degrees. In the night to Saturday there will be a few snow grains and fog or high fog will form. The minimum temperatures are minus eight degrees.
Saturday is expected to be cloudy and mostly rain-free. There is permafrost with temperatures between zero and minus four degrees. During the night, temperatures drop to minus eight to minus twelve degrees.
According to the DWD, Sunday should be sunny and free of precipitation. The highest temperatures are between minus three and zero degrees. The lowest temperatures are between minus two and minus six degrees. There are sometimes heavy gusts of wind on the Brocken. On Monday there will be a difficult black ice situation and milder temperatures during the week. “It won’t be really wintry anytime soon,” said the spokesman.
