Parow (dpa/mv) – 190 new soldiers from the Naval Engineering School Parow were sworn in on Thursday in the Vogelsanghalle in Kramerhof (Vorpommern-Rügen district). According to the school, 159 men and 31 women were trained as technicians for the German armed forces.

Technical knowledge and practical skills are imparted at the school in order to prepare the soldiers for their deployment tasks. These include information technology, weapon mechanics and weapon electronics. The speech at the swearing-in ceremony was held by the Parliamentary State Secretary for Western Pomerania and eastern Mecklenburg, Heiko Miraß.
