Neuenstadt am Kocher (dpa / lsw) – Due to a truck accident, the Autobahn 81 near Neuenstadt am Kocher (Heilbronn district) was closed for around three and a half hours. Two truck drivers were seriously injured in the accident on Monday, police said. According to this, a 45-year-old drove his truck into a trailer truck that was stopped by a 60-year-old at the end of a traffic jam. The force of the impact pushed it onto a truck in front of it.
The drivers of the two rear vehicles were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 52-year-old driver of the truck in front was not injured and was able to continue his journey. In some cases, a backlog of up to eight kilometers had formed, said a police spokesman.
