Kamenz (dpa/sn) – The Saxon construction industry achieved higher sales in the first half of 2022 than in the same period of the previous year. As reported by the State Statistical Office in Kamenz on Monday, the almost 7,000 companies generated sales of 9.16 billion euros. That was 5.5 percent more than in the first half of 2021. However, the higher sales are related to the sharp rise in construction prices. There, double-digit growth rates were mostly recorded. According to the statistics office, almost 60,000 people work in the Saxon construction industry.
