Brest (dpa / lsw) – The handball players of the SG BBM Bietigheim suffered their second defeat this season in the Champions League. The German champion and cup winner lost 28:32 (18:17) at Brest Bretagne Handball on Saturday evening despite a narrow lead at the break. In the table of group A, the Bietigheimers are in third place.
In the meantime, the guests were in the lead with five goals (13:8/16th). But in the closing stages, the club from France decided the game with a 4-0 run. Brest’s Alicia Toublanc was the game’s top scorer with nine goals. Kim Naidzinavicius was the most successful for the SG with eight goals.
