Emmanuel Macron will be interviewed on Monday, the day of the start of the school year, by journalist and youtuber Hugo Travers, the host of the HugoDécrypte channel announced on Sunday. This interview, dedicated to “the future of young people”, is scheduled at 6 p.m. live on YouTube and TikTok.
“While the government has multiplied announcements on education, the economic situation and the professional integration of young people are increasingly difficult and one in five young people suffers from depressive disorders according to Public Health France, the President of the Republic will face Hugo Travers for more than an hour to provide answers on the subjects that make up the daily life of young people in France, “said the journalist in a press release.
Hugo Travers, 26, had conducted a series of interviews during the 2022 presidential election, receiving all the candidates, with the exception of Emmanuel Macron and Valérie Pécresse, for interviews lasting around forty minutes.
The entourage of the head of state had cited “calendar constraints” and “unavailability” to explain this absence, Hugo Travers said. Emmanuel Macron, on the other hand, gave a long interview to another online media, Brut, in April 2022. With more than a million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Hugo Travers claims to do “every day, from Monday to Friday, a summary of the news”. He had previously interviewed the president in 2019.
