Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) – Hessen makes it easier to start training for a nursing profession. A new legal regulation creates the possibility for nursing assistant training to be admitted to the training upon application even without a secondary school leaving certificate. Social Minister Kai Klose (Greens) said this on Thursday when the regulation was widely approved in the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden.

The shortage of skilled workers in the nursing professions is striking. The minister emphasized that the new regulation will also help to attract people in difficult life situations or with gaps in their educational biography for training in the helper professions.
