Vilshofen (dpa / lby) – A single-family house was severely damaged in a fire in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau. Nobody was injured in the fire in Vilshofen on Wednesday morning, the police said. She estimated the damage at around 150,000 euros. The fire probably started in the balcony area and then spread to the roof structure.
So far, there is no evidence of arson, it said. A technical defect cannot currently be ruled out, nor can negligence in handling cigarettes or ash from a wood stove. During the extinguishing work, the parallel federal highway 8 was closed for about three hours.
