Erfurt (dpa/th) – A drunken man drove his car onto the tram tracks in Erfurt and got stuck. The 51-year-old mistakenly assumed on Sunday evening that he could use the track area as a road, said a spokeswoman for the Erfurt police early Monday morning. Here he got stuck and brought the tram traffic to a standstill. Police noticed the smell of alcohol while investigating the accident. A test showed the man had a blood alcohol level of 1.97. He received a criminal complaint.
