Bamberg (dpa / lby) – Investigators have brought charges against a suspected Darknet drug dealer from the Upper Palatinate. The 20-year-old from the Schwandorf district is said to have earned more than 160,000 euros from the sale of drugs on an illegal platform in the hidden part of the Internet from the beginning of 2020 to February 2022, according to the Central Office for Cybercrime Bavaria (ZCB) located at the Bamberg Public Prosecutor’s Office Wednesday with.

Among other things, the man, who has already been convicted of similar crimes, is said to have sold cocaine, heroin and crystal meth as a kind of intermediary. The drugs were then delivered directly to the buyers by other dealers.

The 20-year-old has been in custody since March 2022. The investigators had tracked him down because he used the now-closed DarkMarket platform for his more than 1,000 transactions. If the Amberg district court allows the charges, the man will have to answer for drug trafficking in large quantities.
