Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Winfried Kretschmann (74), the only green prime minister far and wide, is – it seems – building up a second mainstay in his old age: as an actor. Most recently, he appeared in two advertising clips for the state of Baden-Württemberg. Now Kretschmann can also be seen in the ZDF crime series “Soko Stuttgart”.
In this episode there is quite a bit of chaos in the police headquarters because “very important visitors” have announced. In addition, painting work is still going on, which is why everything is suspended with plastic sheets. Then a house painter suffocates – a nasty guy. The trio of inspectors routinely clears up the case within a day. Kretschmann shows up the next morning. Applause breaks out, he praises the best clear-up rate in all of Baden-Württemberg and presents a certificate. “They are doing an excellent job,” he says. There are three sentences in total, then it’s over.
However, the busiest actor in the state government is Manne Lucha from the Greens. The 61-year-old Minister of Social Affairs was allowed to play a policeman a few years ago in the ARD “crime scene” on Lake Constance because his buddy was the director. Kretschmann’s Bavarian colleague Markus Söder has also tried his hand at amateur acting. Years ago he made a guest appearance in the series “Dahoam is dahoam” on Bavarian radio – at that time still as finance minister. At that time there was criticism of “CSU advertising at prime time”.
