Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – Second division soccer team Karlsruher SC took consequences after burning pyrotechnics in their own stadium with ten injuries and pronounced a suspended sentence. Should there be further misconduct by the organized fan scene at home or away games by June 30, 2023, “Block S3 will be blocked for the duration of three home games,” said the Baden-based company on Wednesday. In addition, the KSC banned large-scale choreographies by the ULTRA1894 fan club until further notice.

The background is the events in the 4: 4 of Karlsruher SC against FC St. Pauli on November 12th. Ten people were injured when pyrotechnics ignited. In addition, the kick-off was delayed by around a quarter of an hour due to poor visibility. The club then filed a criminal complaint.

ULTRA1894 apologized and assured that actions of this magnitude will not be repeated, the KSC announced after an exchange between the club and the fan scene.
