Herford (dpa / lnw) – A 28-year-old man was injured by a knife in an argument in an apartment building in Herford. Emergency services were initially called into the house on Tuesday night “due to disturbance of the peace”, but were unable to perceive them when they arrived, the police and public prosecutor said on Wednesday. When they wanted to leave the scene again, the officers from the upper floor suddenly heard screams and entered the house again.

In an apartment they met the injured man and two men aged 41 and 46, one of whom was carrying a knife. The injured came to the hospital. There is no danger to life, it said. The other two men were initially arrested. The 41-year-old was released due to a lack of urgent suspicion. The Bielefeld district court issued an arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm against the 46-year-old. A murder commission is now to determine the background to the crime.
