Bavaria: Blocking of the B8 after a collision between a truck and a car

Vilshofen/Künzing (dpa/lby) – Due to a head-on collision between two vehicles, the federal highway 8 between Künzing (Deggendorf district) and Vilshofen (Passau district) is completely closed. A driver probably wanted to overtake a vehicle in front with his car and collided with an oncoming truck, said a spokesman for the Plattling police on Tuesday morning. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch. The driver was flown to a clinic with serious injuries, the truck driver was slightly injured. The road closure could last for several hours, said the police spokesman.
