Salzburg/Rosenheim (dpa/lby) – Via the Tauernautobahn to Italy – a taxi driver allegedly had these plans, whom the Austrian police stopped with 2.5 per thousand alcohol in the blood. As the Austrian news agency APA reported, another road user had informed the police because the taxi was on the road with the alarm activated – a flashing red light. The police stopped the taxi in the St. Michael im Lungau area early Friday morning. The 49-year-old driver from the Rosenheim district stated that the alarm had been activated because of a defect. A passenger in the taxi is an acquaintance with whom he wants to travel to Italy.
