Rescue teams have located a woman alive inside her car, which was submerged in a Texas lake. It had been two days since the woman had been reported missing by the Longview Texas Police Department.
It was a fisherman who alerted the Marion County Sheriff’s Office that he had seen a submerged black jeep about 40 feet from the pier in a lake in the southwest of the county. Thus, a rescue team went to the scene and was able to verify that the car was completely submerged under water, only its hood was visible.
“While preparing the jeep to remove it from the water, they discovered that there was a person inside the vehicle and that it was moving,” the Sheriff’s office said in a statement posted on its Facebook page. And, with the help of the fisherman who raised the alarm and sheriff’s deputies, rescue teams were able to rescue the woman safely.
According to the statement released, a medical emergency team came to the scene of the events and transferred the woman to a nearby hospital.
