The Hesse jazz award goes this year to the Frankfurt saxophonist Tony Lakatos. The musician, who lives for decades in Frankfurt, is since 1993 a member of the Bigband of the Hessische Rundfunk, in addition, he is involved in numerous local and international constellations of the Jazz.

Lakatos, comes from the eponymous Hungarian violinist dynasty, which today represents his brother Roby international, was on 13. November 1958, born in Budapest.
