The Chancellor Angela Merkel has asked the voters that this Sunday will mark the start of an era without it who vote thinking about the stability of Germany.
“What tomorrow is at stake is the future of it and the stability of it,” said the chancellor in the last electoral ratio of the candidate of her party, Armin Laschet.
Merkel has not been especially active during the electoral campaign but has been involved in the final stretch because “it does not matter to those who vote,” he warned in an act in Aachen, the hometown of Laschet, in the Federated State of North Rhine-
Westphalia and that the candidate is a president minister.
The chancellor affirmed that “what is about tomorrow is that Germany is still stable” and that is only possible with a victory of the conservative block that form the Christianodemocratic Union (CDU) and the Bavarian Social-Christian Union (CSU).
“It is his future, the future of his children and the future of his parents, you only have the opportunity to decide at the federal level who should shape that future, do not miss him,” the chancellor stand out.
Merkel recalled that Laschet not only successfully directed the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a regional prime minister, but also did a lot for the unification of Europe. He added that Laschet’s style is characterized by “bridges” and that A
Throughout his political trajectory has shown that he defends cohesion and solidarity not only theoretically, “but with passion and heart”.
But being a good man and defending great ideals is not a safe conduct to power.
Laschet continues second in the surveys, although he has achieved this last week to put on only one point behind the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and that has increased the motivation and hope of conservatives.
All options are open.
In case of Victoria del SPD, his candidate, Olaf Scholz, he has already advanced that he will enter into negotiations with the greens.
Even so, he will need a third party to reach the parliamentary majority and Scholz has not ruled out that it can be Die Linke (left).
The course marked by Merkel in the four legislatures that has been in power would change with that triply radically.
That is the scenario that, according to Merkel and Laschet in his last rally, “must be avoided”.
