Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – What connects one of the most successful games of all time with the detective series “The Three ???”, bird calls and the two Swabian poets Wilhelm Hauff and Eduard Mörike? They all come from the program of the Stuttgart Kosmos Verlag, which is celebrating its 200th birthday this year – including with a small exhibition in the Stadtmuseum, the StadtPalais, where it was founded. Under the title “Four Worlds. One Cosmos. Your Experience”, the first “Electrical Engineering Kit” from 1922 and the hand-made prototype and other special editions of the successful game “The Settlers of Catan” by the game author will be on show from July 8th to November 6th to see Klaus Teuber.

Kosmos Verlag is one of the major publishers of games, experiment kits, advice and children’s books. The four major worlds of the publishing house are to be presented in the exhibition, including the “experimental world” and the “book world” with works from the early days of the publishing house, including works by Hauff and Mörike. Among other things, the recording device that was used to record birdsong for the first records of birdsong is also on display.
