Villingen-Schwenningen (dpa/lsw) – Manuel Alberg is leaving the Schwenninger Wild Wings and ending his ice hockey career. The 21-year-old no longer sees his future career prospects in sport, the club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced on Thursday. The former youth international played 69 times in the DEL for Schwenningen. “Manuel Alberg, in the person of his player advisor, approached us with the wish to terminate the contract with immediate effect. We absolutely could not have expected this scenario,” said sporting director Christof Kreutzer. “Now we have to accept his decision and find solutions.”
