Buchen (dpa / lsw) – An eleven-year-old ignited a firecracker and thereby injured another child. The eleven-year-old had received the fireworks from his mother on New Year’s Eve and improperly ignited them in Eberstadt in the Neckar-Odenwald district, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. The firecracker swept into a crowd and exploded. As a result, a ten-year-old boy was slightly injured in the knee. Other people were not injured. The mother of the eleven-year-old child must now expect to be charged with negligent bodily harm through omission.
