Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The Christmas business in the southwest retail trade is gradually gaining momentum. The Baden-Württemberg trade association reported this on Sunday in Stuttgart, citing its own survey of companies. “The upward trend of the last few weeks is confirmed. More and more customers are coming to our shops to buy their Christmas presents,” said Sabine Hagmann, head of the association.
Compared to the first Saturday in Advent, sales on the second shopping Saturday increased, Hagmann reported. “Nevertheless, we are still below the level of normal Christmas business,” said the head of the association.
