Mosbach/Wertheim (dpa/lsw) – In the legal dispute over a collapsed wall in Wertheim (Main-Tauber district), the Mosbach district court wants to announce a decision on March 30th. A verdict will then probably be given, a spokeswoman said on Tuesday.
More than three years after the collapse of the listed wall in Wertheim, the judges are concerned with the question of whether this could have been prevented. The civil law dispute, which has been smoldering for a long time, involves questions of damages.
In December 2019, the retaining wall partially collapsed. people were not injured. The eight meter high wall on a footpath had previously been checked by a specialist company after a downpour. They had not seen any danger that would have made a barrier necessary.
The owner of the Wall complained. He demands compensation of 150,000 euros. According to the court, however, the specialist company for natural stone supporting structures doubts that the plaintiff is actually the owner of the wall.
