Offenburg (dpa/lsw) – The Adult Education Association of Baden-Württemberg expects that in 2022 fewer participants will visit the facilities than before the pandemic in 2019. However, according to an estimate, the numbers are better than in the past two years, said association director Tobias Diemer on Thursday in Offenburg (Ortenau district).
According to Diemers, around 2.2 million people took part in the offers of the adult education centers in the southwest in 2019, in 2020 and 2021 there were only around one million people each. “We’re no longer at the 50 percent of last year. But we’re not back at 100 percent either, we’re somewhere in between,” said Diemer.
The Adult Education Association of Baden-Württemberg is celebrating its 75th birthday this week in Offenburg with an anniversary conference. According to the information, 162 adult education centers with almost 650 branch offices belong to the association.
