Sankt Johann (dpa / lsw) – A 58-year-old was injured in a fire in a horse farm in Sankt Johann near Reutlingen. The owner tried on Monday evening to allow the horses to escape from the stable, the police said. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Another owner, aged 57, was unharmed.
About 100 firefighters were deployed in the evening to extinguish the fire. It was initially unclear to what extent animals were harmed. The police searched for escaped horses by helicopter at night. The residential building of the horse farm was in danger of collapsing, the residents had to stay with friends. The police spoke of “high damage”.
