Leutkirch im Allgäu (dpa/lsw) – In Leutkirch im Allgäu there was a power outage that lasted for hours. In the town of 24,000 in the Ravensburg district, the power went out around 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, as a spokeswoman for the energy supplier EnBW said on Thursday. The outage temporarily affected the entire city area and was only fully resolved around 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. First the Südwestrundfunk had reported.

The cause of the power failure is said to have been several cable faults and a defect in a substation. According to the information, the weather played no role in the failure.

Only on the night of Wednesday did the power fail over a large area in Baden-Baden. According to the municipal utility, the reason for the disruption was a defective contact point between two cables in the ground.
