Mannheim (dpa/lsw) – Junior national player Elias Scholtes is leaving the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and is now playing for Bergischer HC. This was announced by the two Bundesliga handball teams on Thursday. Scholtes would have switched to BHC at the end of the season anyway and will have a contract with his new club until June 2026.
“We are very pleased to be able to count Elias among our professional squad with immediate effect,” said BHC Managing Director Jörg Föste. With the transfer, the Oberbergische reacted to the shortage of personnel in the right backcourt. Due to injury, the BHC currently only has national player Djibril M’Bengue available there.
