Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – The second division soccer team Karlsruher SC starts on Monday in the preparation for the second half of the new year. In the morning, the players are first expected by the KSC medical team for a lactate test to check their fitness level after the three-week vacation. Then coach Christian Eichner will gather the squad in the afternoon (3:00 p.m.) for the first training session. After the preliminary round, the Karlsruhe team is 13th in the table. with 18 points just one point ahead of the relegation zone. They start the second half of the season with a home game on January 27 (18:30 / Sky) against SC Paderborn.
KSC will play the first test match in preparation next Friday at third division team Viktoria Köln. Other friendlies will be played at Bundesliga clubs VfL Bochum (December 10) and SC Freiburg (December 16). From January 13th to 22nd, the team will complete a training camp in Estepona, Spain.
