Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – On Tuesday night in Karlsruhe, the fire brigade freed a man who was stuck upside down in the trough of a used clothes container. The fire brigade reported on Tuesday that only the legs could be seen when a passerby came by and got help. The man had not been able to free himself and had severe pain in his legs, which were pinched off by the awkward position.

The fire brigade came with hydraulic rescue equipment, pried open the trough and sawed a hole in the container lid. The man was taken out and handed over to paramedics. According to a spokeswoman, the fire brigade assumes that he wanted to get something out of the container and then lost his balance. Probable cause: carelessness, wrote the fire brigade in their deployment report.
