Obersontheim (dpa / lsw) – A man was trapped in his car in a car accident on a country road between Obersontheim and Hausen (Schwäbisch Hall district) and died. Another man was seriously injured in the accident on Saturday night, police said.
A 54-year-old partially drove his car into the oncoming lane for initially unknown reasons and collided with an oncoming car. His car crashed into the guardrail, the oncoming car was thrown off the roadway and came to a stop against a tree. The 54-year-old was trapped in his car and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The other 29-year-old man involved in the crash was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Highway 1060, where the accident occurred, was closed until 6 a.m. on Saturday morning.
