Mannheim (dpa / lsw) – Saying goodbye to her friends on a train was fatal for a 34-year-old woman at the Mannheim train station. Before the woman could get off on Sunday, the train left and her two one-year-old and five-year-old children were left alone on the platform, as the federal police announced on Monday.
A Deutsche Bahn employee alerted the police. The train then made an unscheduled stop at the nearby Mannheim-Handelshafen stop, where the 34-year-old was able to get off and hug her children again.
