Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – After shots were fired in several places in Baden-Württemberg with two seriously injured people, the responsible police headquarters in Reutlingen, Stuttgart and Ulm are forming an investigative cooperation with the State Criminal Police Office. A possible connection between the crimes in Eislingen/Fils (Göppingen district), Plochingen and Ostfildern and Reichenbach/Fils (Esslingen district) is being examined, it said in a joint statement on Tuesday. A spokeswoman did not provide information on possible traces of suspects and the background to the crime.
A 66-year-old innkeeper was shot and seriously injured in Plochingen early on Saturday morning. He and other guests left his restaurant that night because the sound of breaking glass could be heard. When the group noticed and spoke to two masked people in front of a damaged window of a hairdresser’s shop, one of the two strangers is said to have shot and injured the 66-year-old.
The night before, a 21-year-old woman was shot at from a moving car in Eislingen/Fils (Göppingen district). She was injured in the leg. According to witnesses, shots had already been fired in Ostfildern in mid-February. Upon their arrival, police officers found projectiles and traces of blood, and a search for the perpetrators was unsuccessful.
The investigative cooperation is intended, among other things, to bring together information about the perpetrators and to analyze and evaluate clues.
