Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – After two years of Corona, the major parties want to meet their supporters again on political Ash Wednesday and serve their camps strong political fare. The Greens are expecting prominent figures from the federal government in Biberach when Federal Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir takes the lectern. Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann and state party leader Lena Schwelling are also present at the traditional event (11 a.m.). In the evening, Agriculture Minister Özdemir is asked again in Böblingen: He is invited to the 41st Ash Wednesday fish soup dinner (6 p.m.).
The CDU, on the other hand, invites to Fellbach (Rems-Murr district). There, in addition to party leader and state interior minister Thomas Strobl, NRW interior minister Herbert Reul took the microphone as the main speaker (10:30 a.m.). The FDP meets with its party leader Michael Theurer and the parliamentary group leader Hans-Ulrich Rülke in Karlsruhe (12 p.m.), the SPD and its party leader Andreas Stoch are in Ludwigsburg at almost the same time (11 a.m.). The AfD does not come together at state level.
