Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – Criminologists have researched the extent of violence against teachers on behalf of a trade union. The German Civil Service Association (dbb) Hessen and the Criminological Institute of the University of Gießen want to present the situation picture today (11:00 a.m.) in Frankfurt. Representatives of four teachers’ associations then want to classify the results.
The study “Violence against teachers in Hesse” is the third study by dbb Hessen and the University of Giessen on violence against employees in the public sector. A first situation report in 2020 identified, among other things, police officers and prison staff as occupational groups with the most serious experiences of violence. In surveys in 2021, bailiffs and employees in job centers were the focus.
