Waldshut-Tiengen (dpa/lsw) – Two garbage workers were seriously injured in Waldshut-Tiengen because their vehicle overturned in an accident and remained on the roof. According to the police, a car had previously collided with the small garbage collection vehicle at an intersection. As a result, it began to spin on Friday morning and tipped over.
The 43-year-old driver of the garbage truck and his 47-year-old passenger were able to climb out of the badly damaged van, it was said. Both came to hospitals, one of them was flown in a helicopter. The driver was uninjured, but has to answer for the accident, according to a police spokesman. He gave way to the garbage truck.
